In Style Boutique 2, there is a feature that allows you do upload a Caprice Chalet room you have designed online for other players to visit. All you need to do is open you Phone Menu and select Connect. Tap Swap Rooms and you can upload a Caprice Chalet room online. The game will give you a room code that you can share with others.
To download a room, select the Download Room option and enter the code. The game will bring up a preview of the room and give you the option to download it to your Caprice Chalet. Sometimes rooms have been taken offline and the game will notify you if the room code you have enter is no longer active.

DeleteGo to the Caprice Chalet and select the Profile option. Your room code number will be displayed there if you have set up a room for download. You can also see it when you upload a room via the Connect feature.

DeleteIs there any way to view rooms without a code or any way to get codes within the game. It's kind of weird that they didn't include some sort of in-game room gallery.
ReplyDeleteThe only way you can view rooms is by downloading them via the connect feature. You can preview the room before selecting whether or not you wish to save it to your dollshouse collection. If you streetpass another player who has a room set on streetpass, you will automatically receive their room.
DeleteThere is no way to get codes within the game other than your own. You need to search for codes online or ask other people for them.

ReplyDeleteYes, there is a limit on how many rooms you can store in your spare room portfolio. You will need to delete ones before you download anymore. The spare room portfolio accounts for your own room designs as well.

ReplyDeleteYou cannot rent out rooms you have downloaded to customers. You can only rent out rooms you have designed yourself and that fit a certain theme.

ReplyDeleteIt won't affect the actual code, your code is unique to your game. The code number stays the same when you alter a room and re-upload it.

ReplyDeleteIf you put the outfit on a Miniature Man, it can be purchased by players who download your room. You can only have one Miniature Man in a room, so you can only display one outfit at a time that can be purchased.

I thought people were asking for their room codes to be posted so they could sell stuff, and since I love buying (I'm a miniatures freak IRL, lol), but now I think I understand that I can only visit other towns if someone adds my room. ReplyDeleteHi Jacque, it works a bit differently from the way you've mentioned. The only way you can visit other people's rooms is to download the room via the connect feature. You can't visit their town unfortunately but I wish that was a feature. As long as you put a room online and get a room code, people can visit it if they know the code.

ReplyDeleteThe green customers that appear in your boutique and other locations in the city are just the characters visiting from the rooms you downloaded. You cannot visit their city (that would be so cool if you could) and they are pretty much just inputted into your game as a NPC but they will refer to working with you at the Caprice Chalet. If you get a blue character visiting, that's a streetpass visitor.

ReplyDeleteFrom the phone menu, select the Connect option. You need to have wireless communication turned off to use the Connect feature. Select the swap rooms option and then download room. It will bring up a screen that allows you to enter the room code.
DeleteAdd in my room: 184-111-3161. Also, there's something wrong with the time on my game. For example, when it's 8 pm for me, the game says it's 8 am. Is there a way to fix this?? It's super annoying.
ReplyDeleteAdded your room to the list :) I'd say with the time issue, maybe update your 3DS as it may be an issue with that. And check the date/time is correct in the system settings.
DeleteI tried updating the system and it says it's up to date. I also tried seeing if my time was wrong, but the time settings only allow me to change the hour and minutes, it won't let me change the am/pm. I really wanna fix it but I have no idea how! :( And it's super annoying to play the game when your time is completely wrong. :/
DeleteThe 3DS time settings are set in 24 hour time (military time). So if you want to change it to 2pm, it needs to be set at 14 hours. Or say 6pm is 18 hours. There is no option to set it to am or pm, you need to set the military time on it instead.

You can only have one room for download available at a time, so I've changed the room to PopPop Boutique if you would like to visit again. It is still at the same room address.
