To avoid spoilers for those who have not reached this story line yet, the remainder of this post is continued after the break below:
The story line begins with the mysterious Lenore and Sally appearing outside your Boutique. Talk to them to begin the story line. The Five Sisters often appear in disguise and Lenore and Sally are Lenora and Callie in disguise.
After talking to these two, you will discover that Lenora is in fact Callie's mother so that means Callie is one of the famous Five Sisters who live at Peony Hall. Continue talking to the characters to unlock two special hairstyles: Afro and Bouffant.
After this, Lenore will tell you about Peony Hall and ask you to visit for a tea party. Now, it takes a few turns to actually get to the tea party part as you will encounter the other Five Sisters along the way. You may encounter the girls in disguise at various locations around the city throughout the course of the game (they may appear outside of the story line) and you need to talk to them to unlock the following special hairstyles: Cat Ears (Primrose Park), High Plaited Pigtails (Station Square), Sausage Curls (Cafetiere Close).
Later on, Lenore will reappear with EL-LI-OT who likes to pretend she is an alien. EL-LI-OT will talk about searching for the ultimate cute. You may be given the chance to pose with EL-LI-OT if your clothes are cute enough.
Head over the Peony Hall to see if anyone is at home. Talk to the sisters who are currently there and they will let you know that the tea party is not happening. You will be able to see the characters without their silly disguises. You may notice these are the girls who appear in the photos customers bring into the Beautician. Ellie is known as the Queen of Cute and customers are always wanting the same make-up style she has.
Continue checking back at Peony Hall to try and catch all the Five Sisters together. Once again you will get more excuses, but you will get to see Lenora without her disguise.
Eventually, you will be able to meet all the Sisters at once and finally have this tea party Lenora has been talking about. But turns out there was no tea party after all, Lenora just wanted to take a photo!
Lenora's secret to her youthful look is finally revealed. Apparently since she was born on the 29th of February, her birthday only occurs during a Leap Year. Callie states that she is only 12 years old which seems silly considering Leonora is her mother.
After finding out Leonora's secret, you can finally meet all the Five Sisters together and take a photo. After completing this story line, the girls may appear in disguise around the city. Talk to them and they will ask if you are wearing an outfit that matches their style. If it matches, you will be able to talk a photo with them. Leonora may appear at various locations (including train station locations) with her Butler.
Can you (or anyone else) please tell me what needs to happen in order to finish the main storyline and get to the Five Sisters story? I'm sorry if you addressed this elsewhere - I couldn't find anything. I'm feeling very stuck right now. I've played for 175 hours and nothing new seems to be happening. I got to Adelaide's wedding weeks ago. Do I need to complete the color palette and makeup sets? If so, I'd rather just time travel than give up on the game due to boredom.
ReplyDeleteThe story lines occur randomly after you have finished the main story line. The characters will just appear randomly around town when the story line is available. It took myself at least like 50 or 60 hours of game play before I got to it.
DeleteYou don't need to complete the sets as I didn't have them all finished when I discovered the story line. I wouldn't recommend time traveling as there is not set time for when this occurs and it would be a major hassle trying to find out where. Maybe just keep playing and see if it pops up.
Hey! Ummm I have a quick question, so I have been playing the game to try to get to this story line. I thought I was close when random girls wanted to look like the sisters. They all got the makeover and asked me to be their "leader" and meet them at peony hall, but when I went to peony hall tjey were not there. Did I do something wrong or?
DeleteHi! That story line is a different one and not the one where you get the meet the Five Sister. The Five Sisters story line occurs randomly unfortunately so you'll need to keep waiting for it. Took myself ages to get it.
DeleteMy game has just accidentally restarted a new game, so i couldn't meet Callie's mother and her sisters. Is it possible to meet her again, if you start a new game?
DeleteIt will be possible to meet them again, but it's still random when it will occur. So can't say exactly when they will reappear but they will at some point.
DeleteDoes time traveling mess the game up in any way? I am a very impatient person and want to do that, but would I lose anything if I set it back to normal afterwards?
DeleteYes, time travelling messes up all the story lines. I wouldn't recommend doing it if you want to get the story lines. Even if you set it back, it still resets everything.

ReplyDeleteA story line is a series of conversations that will occur in the game that focus around a certain thing and always end up with you taking a photo. The Five Sisters story line is hard to trigger as it is completely random for when it occurs.
DeleteThe best recommendation I can give for triggering it is to check in front of your boutique regularly for musical notes characters as it may be Lenora and Callie. I found working at the hair salon regulary helped trigger events that would unlock hairstyles.
I found Lenora and Callie, but the second time I talked to them, Callie was disappointed that I wasn't wearing a cool outfit. What does that have to do with the story line?
ReplyDeleteThe second time you talk to them is not part of the story line. Lenora and the girls will appear around the town asking to see you wearing a certain style outfit. Not much happens with this, you just pose and take a photo if you have the correct outfit on. The Five Sisters story line can only be triggered once.
DeleteI went to Peony Hall this morning and meet Trixie, Catherine, and Ellie without their disguises. They told me that I would have to come back tomorrow in order to meet their mother. Maybe this story line takes several days to accomplish?

DeleteThe Five Sisters story may only occur once, but I've discovered a story line where several customers ask me to make them over into the sisters. Usually, it begins with one customer asking me to give her make-up like Ellie, followed by asking for a hairstyle and outfit similar to Ellie's. The same pattern occurs for the girls wanting to be like Trixie, Catherine, Lenora, and Callie in that order. When all five girls are dressed like the sisters, they go to Peony Hall and take a photo with me. And then I get a message from Xiaoling at the end commenting that I had found the new queens of copycats.

Yes I have had that story line occur. It appeared for me ages ago, back in 2015 when I first got the game. It pops up every now and then in the game as a reoccurring story line.

ReplyDeleteSo something weird happened. Five girls each asked me to style their hair, clothes, and make-up like one of the five sisters that they idolized. After that, they tried to discover where the five sisters lived(Peony Hall) then they asked me to come along but when they got there they took a picture with me instead! And they posed the exact same way that they did in the photo up there of all of the five sisters. Do you know anything about this?
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a story line that appears in the game sometimes. They are just copycats who idolise the Five Sisters. I haven't made a guide of that yet as I lost all the pictures for it and have to re-do the story line.

If not, you need to wait a day and the next characters should appear in front of your boutique. I'm not 100% that talking to Lenore and Sally is the first step in the story line but players have reported it is.

DeleteThe copycat sisters story line isn't the only one in this game. I've had an event trigger where two girls asked for a outfit to wear to a concert, and I go to meet them at the live music club. The next day, they come in to inform me that they're creating a dance trope. Four girls also come in, one at a time, asking for outfits for the dance trope, and then the two girls who started it all tell me to meet them at the open air stage at the amusement park. Then, we take a photo.

ReplyDeleteThe special hairstyles are different to this. Unlocking the hairstyles only informs you that they live at Peony Hall. You need to get this story line to meet them at Peony Hall.
DeleteDid anyone know instead of waiting for three days you could go into your nintendo setting change the day instead of waiting then save then change the day back...Same with with colors some you can only find in different seasons.
ReplyDeleteYes, it does work with unlocking things but if you change the 3DS clock it can cancel out story lines and you need to re start them. I would be careful doing it as you may lose your progress in the story line (happened to me with another one). Plus altering your 3DS clock will remove people waiting at your boutique for outfits after a fashion show and can glitch out your exhibition hall.

DeleteHi, um I'm super confused. I got all the hairstyles from the 5 sisters and I met Sally and Lenore together and met Elliot and Lenore together, i checked peony hall and no one was there, There was only the butler and random people.
ReplyDeleteSome events take a little while to trigger, try visiting again after a few days. Some events happen a week after the previous story part.
