Brands

Style Boutique 2 features a wide variety of clothing brands that cater to all tastes in fashion. There's a style for everyone available from cute girly dresses to punk rocker flame boots. Maybe your style is a bit more baby-doll like with frilly dresses or maybe you're after some active wear covered in cool paint splatters. Whatever your taste is, there's a brand for everyone and most players have their own personal favourite. I adore Marzipan Sky as I love girly casual style clothing and cute prints. Customers will have a favourite clothing style as well and you can either tell by looking at their outfit (if you have memorised clothing styles in the game) or they will straight up tell you what they are looking for. Some customers may wish to try a new style and ask for something along the lines of bold, lively or chic.

There are 17 brands in Style Boutique 2 and each has a style focus, for example Marzipan Sky is primarily girly style and Brooke Bridge is preppy. Each brand will have a main style, but will contain pieces that fit within other styles, i.e. some Marble Lily items fit under both Baby-Doll and girly styles.

Visit the Exhibition Hall to purchase clothing items from the brands. The Exhibition Hall is divided into 4 levels and as you progress through the story line of the game, you will unlock new brands. Make sure to stock up on the brands customers to your boutique are after. For example, if you just completed a fashion show with the theme lively, customers will rush to your boutique to purchase a lively outfit. It's a good idea to purchase pieces to fit the theme and will make up a full outfit.

In the previous Style Boutique game, there was a brand called Miss Ribbon which focused on glam style. Unfortunately this brand has been removed in this installment. Pieces from the collection can be found in brands such as April Bonbon and AZ-USA.

Here is a useful list of all the brands available in Style Boutique 2 and the main style that the brand focuses on. The brand name translation is also listed for Girls Mode 3 as some brands are known under a different title in the Japanese version. Pictures are included to show examples of the brands clothing pieces.

April Bonbon
Stand out from the crowd with this fun brand packed with vibrant colours and youthful styles. The April Bonbon guide can be found here.
Main style: Lively
(Known as Cherry Berry in Girls Mode 3)

ARIANNA
This luxury brand carries only the most upscale handbags, clutches and suitcases for your delectation. Great idea to not stock up on too many items from this brand unless you plan on focusing on a high class expensive boutique.
Main style: Chic
(Known as YLVA in Girls Mode 3)

AZ-USA
The epitome of flashy fashion, complete with daring animal prints and striking designs. Get bold, girl! The AZ-USA guide can be found here.
Main style: Bold

Basic U
The definitive brand for everyday wear. Basic U is reasonably priced and offers clothes in a wide variety of colours.  I find I hardly ever encounter customers wishing to purchase basic style clothing, but it's always handy to just keep a few pieces in each clothing section in case. The Basic U Guide can be found here.
Main style: Basic
(Known as DOUBLE U in Girls Mode 3)

Brooke Bridge
Coordinate tailored items with scholarly motifs and get preppy with Brooke Bridge's traditional revival! Customers who are students love this brand and a large amount of items in this brand fall under different styles. The Brooke Bridge guide can be found here.
Main style:  Preppy
(Known as Baker Bridge in Girls Mode 3)

Chorale
A brand known for its elegant, feminine designs. Its sister brand Chorale Perlude sells purses and bags. The Chorale Guide can be found here.
Main style:  Feminine
(Known as flute f in Girls Mode 3)

Chorale Prelude
Chorale's sister brand carries fine handbags, clutches and suitcases to embody a dainty, feminine style. The Chorale Perlude guide can be found here.
Main style:  Feminine
(Known as mezzo flute in Girls Mode 3)

Enid Chen
The height of luxury clothing. Usually reserved for celebs and jet-setters, Enid Chen redefines glam. If you're looking to make some quick cash, wear a Chic outfit for a fashion show and customers will want to get their hands on some expensive items. Choose the most expensive items from the Exhibition Hall (i.e. shoes, pants, top) and combine them into an outfit with a ARIANNA bag to make a quick $5000+ in one shot. The Enid Chen guide be found here.
Main style:  Chic
(Known as HELGA in Girls Mode 3)

Kanokoi
An exotic brand inspired by traditional Chinese and Japanese styles. Includes special seasonal items! This brand is home to the yukata clothing pieces and keep an eye out for new designs each season. The Kanokoi guide can be found here.
Main style:  Eastern

Marble Lily
A doll-like brand that makes you feel like a fairy-tale princess with fluffy pink petticoats and cute ruffled tops. If Loilta style clothing is your favourite, this is the brand for you. Make sure you buy a complete outfit because you don't want to be caught out with socks that don't match. The Marble Lily guide can be found here.
Main style:  Baby-Doll

Marzipan Sky
Marzipan Sky offers enchanting styles as sweet and delicate as the confection it's named after. I find this the brand most customers are after, I've played over 140 hours of Style Boutique and customers can't get enough of girly style outfits. The Marzipan Sky guide can be found here.
Main style:  Girly
(Known as La Chou Chou in Girls Mode 3)

PURPLE MOON
A fanciful and imaginative brand. Mix and match pieces to create elaborate costumes, or just add a bit of whimsy to an outfit. Cosplay would be a good word to describe this brand but it doesn't come cheap, each piece costs $9,999 and customers aren't too interested in buying it often. Amiibo items obtained in the game will fall under this brand.
Main style:  Lively
(Known as FANTANIA in Girls Mode 3)

Raven Candle
Dress up in elaborate gothic outfits inspired by Victorian fashion, covered with frills, ribbons and lace. This brand can be used in conjuction with Marble Lily as they both feature Victorian/Loilta style pieces and I find sometimes one brand has the socks I need to match the dress from the other. The Raven Candle guide can be found here.
Main style:  Gothic

Retrobeat
Get back into the 60s and 70s groove with kaleidoscopic colours and patterns. Go on - indulge in the fab! I like to call this the 'random' brand because the colours and patterns are so crazy but look kinda good when you put them together. This brand is also known for its jumpers that have pictures of bread on them. The Retrobeat Guide can be found here.
Main style:  Psychedelic
(Known as トルテポルテ in Girls Mode 3)

Soy
Free your spirit with the flowing fabrics and earthy colours made popular by this all-natural brand. The Soy Guide can be found here.
Main style:  Boho
(Known as Soy Milk in Girls Mode 3)

Stage Dive
The embodiment of the edgy rock 'n' roll lifestyle. Perfect for bringing out your inner punk rocker! Stripes, stripes and more stripes. If striped clothing pieces are your thing, definitely check out this brand. The Stage Dive Guide can be found here. For a list of all the dresses available from the brand, please refer to the Stage Dive Dress Guide.
Main style:  Rock
(Known as Stray Cat in Girls Mode 3)

Streetflow
Feeling active? Outdoors or in, this brand's sportswear line-up will put a spring in your step and in your style! Fun active wear that features random logos and words splattered all over it. The Streetflow Guide can be found here.
Main style:  Sporty
(Known as Upbeat in Girls Mode 3)

  1. Do you have a list of all the clothing/accessories? I'm trying to make a spreadsheet with a list of everything and their prices to help me organize what I need to stock up on and what I've got.
I just started playing today and am only about 5 hours in, so My list is pretty small. Couldn't find anything on google so I was hoping you might have something. :)
Also, this whole guide is super helpful. Thanks for sharing it with us!!

    1. There's over 19,000 items in the game so your list may become a lot bigger than you originally thought. I don't have a list myself, but you can purchase game guides to the game from Japan that have information on the items in the game. I brought my Girls Mode 3 Guide Book from Amazon Japan.
It's easy to tell what items you need to buy. When you visit the Exhibition Hall, there will be a blue or pink house icon on the clothing items. Blue means you have it in stock and pink means you have already purchased this item and it is in your personal wardrobe. Items are only available certain seasons so it will take a year to collect all the items.
Thank you for visiting my guides!

    2. Oh jeez. That might take a while then. I knew about the house symbols, I just like to have a big physical spreadsheet in front of me. (I've done it with a few other games too) Perhaps I'm just odd like that :)
      Thanks!!

    3. Haha don't worry, I was the same when I used to play Animal Crossing New Leaf. It will definitely take you a while with the huge amount of items in the game.

  2. I've talked to Eliza and Evie yesterday at the Cafe. They talked about opening a shop in the Exhibition Hall, but I've not gotten any notification about it. Eliza hasn't entered my boutique nor can I find her anywhere else. Is there a step that I may have missed

    1. You need to talk to Eliza six times around the city where she will appear in different costumes. After this, Evie should come visit you and tell you Purple Moon is opening.

    2. I restarted the game so I could make sure I don't miss Eliza those six times you mentioned. I found her today in The Avenue, but I didn't see her anymore times today. I kept going in and out of the game, hitting all the spots I unlocked, and I couldn't find her anywhere.

I don't know if the main story has anything to do with Eliza's appearances, or if I need to try again on a different day. Some forum members on Miiverse said that seeing all the Eliza events would take several days, and that she can sometimes be found at Bun-Bun Funland or Tropical Beach.

    3. You may have to try a different day as I remember it taking me a few days. Eliza will appear at any location around Beaumonde City and the train station locations so you will need to seek her out.

  3. hi!! not to be a bother, but does anyone know where to find a listing of what styles go best together?? i know some of the basics like lively and psychedelic or bold and rock aesthetics going together well but i'm a little confused about some other stuff like that and i'm not too sure what to do? for once, trial and error doesn't seem like the best idea// ;w;
    thoughts?

    1. Hi! The game doesn't like you mixing styles too much. When creating an outfit, you can only put a maximum of one item in it that belong to another style (i.e. 5 items fall under the girly style and one under feminine). Otherwise customers will get angry and stay it has too many styles.
Here's a list of some of the style mixes I am aware of that work well:
      Sporty and Basic
      Lively and Sporty
      Bold and Chic
      Girly and Eastern
      Eastern and Boho Chic
      Goth and Baby-Doll
      Psychedelic and Lively
      Psychedelic and Rock
      Girly and Preppy
      Girly and Feminine
      Baby-Doll and Girly
For example, sometimes when I'm making a sporty outfit and I don't have shoes, I will use shoes that are basic.

    1. Hi! Yes, I do own the Girls Mode 3 (Japanese version) guide books which are written in Japanese. I brought mine from Amazon Japan but you can get them from other Japanese sites like CD Japan. Just visit Amazon Japan and search for Girls Mode 3. The guide books are listed as ガールズモード 3 キラキラ☆コーデ (ワンダーライフシリーズ) and ガールズモード3 キラキラコーデ 超完全コレクション (日本語) 単行本(ソフトカバー

    2. Thanks kinda..searched all over and still can not locate the book and it is getting tiring. I was hoping that you could show the clothes on here since you have the book it would not only help me but so many others...trust me i am tired of hunting for the book and even more tired of jumpin the days to get the clothes please do a kindness and post the pics of the complete collection of clothes

    3. Try this link http://amzn.to/2jQMbH5
Hopefully that works and takes you to the amazon japan page.
I won't be posting guides for every single clothing item of each brand (apart from Purple Moon) or photos of the all the items from all the brands from the guide book. But I will be making guides that have information on how many items there is in each brand. For example, check out the Marble Lily one I just posted and that will tell you how many items are in that brand. Yes, it takes ages to collect all the items as they appear randomly.

  5. Marzi, I have found your account to be helpful innumerable times. Thank you. I wished to add something to your directions on mixing styles that I have found after upsettting many babydoll customers. It seems they will allow you to mix in two items if they are "minor:" hat, earrings, scarf/necklace, gloves, and purses. Occasionally, I could mix in a "major" item (stockings were considered major,) and it would be allowed as 1 of the 2 but under a different criteria like: it was flowery as were 5 other items, or it was black like everything else. I haven't quite figured out the game's rules for those instances, but mixing 2 of the aforementioned "minor" items in without regards to style has worked without fail.
    Thank you again, Cyn

    1. When I serve customers who are after baby-doll clothes, I usually only give them items from marble lily as I like to coordinate the outfits to match. I mainly find with mixing styles that yes, you can only do about 2 minor items before they get angry.

  9. Hello!!
So Evie and Callie were in my store and after giving Callie like 10 different looks, she managed to get away. I know Evie wants a feminine look, but I don't have Chorale yet. Is there a way I can get Chorale even if I haven't finished her off yet? Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to advance in the game :/

    1. You just need to wait until Laurie asks for a new brand to open. I had the same problem with Sasha in the game as I didn't have Soy unlocked yet.

  10. How do you get the backgrounds for the brands?

  11. I've noticed that the clothes featured in games Style Savvy 2 through 3 are completely different from the clothes in the original Style Savvy. What changed that?

    1. No clue why really. Maybe they thought they needed on overhaul or just had better graphics so they could do nicer stuff.

  12. Totally random question, but I was wondering if you'd bothered with actually "purchasing" each of the individual clothing pieces available in the game. I know there's some 19,000+ items, which even I as a 100% Completionist player do not intend to collect. (I don't see much point, as no individual clothing piece is "unobtainable," nor do they really go into a "collection," per se, beyond sitting in your apartment stockpile for ease of outfitting.)

    Just curious.

    1. Call me crazy but yes I own every single clothing item in the game (as well as Styling Star). Took forever but I have them all! It's not worth collecting them all as nothing special happens. I'm just indecisive when making choices so I like having a big selection to chose from.

  13. Casual - Lively, Psychedelic, Boho-chic, Sporty, and Rock
Formal - Gothic, Chic, and Feminine
In-between/Both - Eastern, Girly, Basic, Baby-doll, Bold, and Preppy

    ReplyDelete
  14. You might think it looks very unlimited and varied all around at first, but once you start playing it enough, it seems that some items are "overused" as in they are not varied and most customers will already own them if you make enough outfits. All the styles have something much more limited you will notice.

Lively - Bags, shoes, earrings (For April BonBon only one variety, cherry bow) and hair accessories. That doesn't seem to be a problem for them
Eastern - Everything, but especially the skirts and dresses. I can't make any eastern outfit now without a customer complaining it contains items she already owns. This is the worst style because it's the only one that doesn't have custom design requests, making it even more limited.
Girly - Just the glasses, earrings, and a few pieces of headwear. Girly is actually the most varied style! There are more earring variants and more fun to custom design requests. However the casual dresses often repeat.
Psychedelic - Bottoms, headwear, and purses. There is a variety of different dresses but many of them will be repeat. There are also limited earrings/glasses like the rest of the styles, but this also doesn't bother anyone.
Boho-chic - Only the jewelry and headwear.
Gothic - Almost everything because they repeat all the same stuff and it's boring
Sporty - Skirts, shoes, and bags. The "speedy" fold over bag is my favorite but it seems that everyone has it already. While they sell the same shoes over and over, there is a custom design request for shoes that make your sporty outfits more original.
Baby doll - Skirts, shoes, and purses. It does get boring after a while trying to make them match.
Bold - Just the earrings and headwear. Also the sunglasses in the winter time.
Rock - Purses, shoes, and dresses.
Feminine - Earrings, headwear, and shoes. Once you make enough feminine outfits, it will feel like you used every pair of earrings several times for the same character. It doesn't seem to bother them.
Chic - Bottoms, skirts, and headwear.
Preppy - Most of the items especially the glasses and typical school uniform parts (loafers, fashion jacket, and plaid skirt will get overused quick)
